Jambughoda, situated in the dense forest of Panchmahal district, about 175 km from Ahmedabad was a princely state in pre-independence India. Forest full of Teak & Mahuda trees, Bamboo & other lush green vegetation, Jambughoda is home to large populations of many kind of wildlife such as Leopard, Wild Boar, Nilgai, Jackal, Hyena, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer & Chausingha and more than 200 different types of birds.

Excursion tour to Hathini Mata Waterfalls : The waterfall at Hathini Maata, hidden amongst the shaded green hills & dense forest, is a sight to behold. The cave, which houses a temple with a rock shaped like a seated baby elephant is definitely worth a visit.

Jand Hanuman : This is another interesting place. It boasts of an 18-ft statue of Lord Hanuman (a Hindu deity) believed to have been made during the Mahabharata era. Must visit to see Bhim Ni Ghanti and Arjun Ka kunwa.

Makhaniya Parvat : Close by small hill, best suitable for adventurous activities such as rock climbing and repelling.

Kada Dam : This water body adds to the aesthetic settings and habitat diversity. A place where the sky looks like a painter’s palate. Where if you stand still you can hear the sounds of the wilderness. Enjoy the panoramic view in the middle of nowhere. A must visit for those who want to indulge in nature. View a beautiful sun set if you are present at the site in the evening.

Tribal village visit : Most of the tribal living in & around Jambughoda are “Rathwas & Nayaks”. They are superstitious and God-fearing. The entrance to their home is through a richly carved wooden door with figurines and tribal icons. The front is usually decorated with “Pithora” paintings. The tribals do not live in hamlets. Their dwellings are separated from each other by considerable distance. Experience their way of living, enter in to their house and hearts, see how they take care of their cattle and find out the natural way of storing the grains….

Visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site – Champaner : Champaner, the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Gujarat exhibits some of the finest examples of fusion architecture, sculpted by mellifluous architects from different culture and civilizations. The beautiful ‘Jumma Masjid’ built in 1513 has been declared as one of the hundred endangered architectural monuments of the world. Champaner is scattered over an area of 6 sq km around the foothills of Pavagadh. Satellite mapping of the area has revealed large tracts which are yet to be excavated.
