The Fujifilm X-T4 is the company’s latest high-end photo and video APS-C mirrorless camera. The Fujifilm says that the X-T4 is a sister model to the X-T3, rather than a replacement, which is borne out by the specs and pricing. Optics and Focus

The new AF algorithm on the X-T4 gives an AF speed of up to 0.02 seconds; which is the fastest AF speed among mirrorless cameras with an APS-C size sensor. The improved AF algorithm also allows you to capture your subject with an outstanding accuracy of over 90%. This evolved AF algorithm combined with the X-Trans CMOS 4 and the X Processor 4, gives a professional-level performance at every opportunity. The new algorithm uses color information and the subject shape to lock on and steadily track a moving subject, maintaining accurate and instantaneous focus. The X-T4 will capture the face and eye even when the subject is constantly moving across the entire frame. The AF system in the X-T4 works down to -6.0 EV, which is almost complete darkness. The phase-detection AF system is fast and accurate even in these low light conditions.

Photography Features

The X-T4’s image quality is essentially the same as that of the X-T3, except the new Color Chrome Effect Blue processing option, two extra Film Simulation mode, and a clarity processing parameter that applies a large radius sharpening to give images more punch. The new focal plane shutter unit in the X-T4 uses a high-speed coreless DC motor. This enables a super-fast 15 fps continuous shooting in post view and an 8 fps continuous shooting with live view. When shooting with an electronic shutter, you can shoot up to an incredible 30fps.
