Simple by Jobin Thomas

Keep it simple.

Happiness is all around us. No matter whether it’s big or small; the factor is to find happiness in all little things. The best way to achieve this is to start simplifying our life. In reality this simple living cannot be achieved in a day. It takes time to be simple in all means.

Simplicity is about removing clutter from our lives. We all want to simplify our life, but we don’t know how to do it. This includes focusing on what really matters in your life. Simplicity is about removing unnecessary complexity from our lives. The less we do, the better off we are. Simple things like having fewer possessions, living simply, and eating healthy food are all ways to simplify life.

It’s almost the same with Photography. Art in Photography refers to the artistic aspects of photography. This includes things like composition, lighting, colour, etc. The goal of art in photography is to create something beautiful in its simplest possible ways. When you simplify something, you focus only on the key points with detailing and leaving out all the unwanted. This makes things easier for anyone to understand.

My portfolio is titled “SIMPLE”. As the name suggests, it’s all about being simple in everything. The products, accessories, clothes, food, our daily used materials, etc…are few such things that mean here to be simple in its form. This book reflects my very thoughts on the same.

The perspective to create images that capture the essence of life is the highlights of this book named “Simple”. The main goal of art in photography is to capture unique moments in life. Some common types of stylish yet simple subjects captured here include products, cosmetics, jewellery, and food. Being simple here means to utilize the available resources without losing the beauty in it.

This book also reflects the basic combination of colors that add value to the images. Here, I have concentrated on the most attractive and warm color Red with the most calm and cool color Blue. To have shades and tints of these colors in all of these images was something that I maintained to be the baseline for all the chapters here. These are also known to be the simplest and readily available colors around us.
