You all will wonder what is Surreal ? Surreal means something which is unreal and when someone sees through the perspective of abstract, a mirage to be precise. I call it ‘Surreal’ for the reason that, a medium to present my point of view through Surreal interpretations. Surreal, widely known as Abstract art, also called nonobjective art or nonrepresentational art, painting, sculpture or graphic art in which the portrayal of things from the visible world plays little or no part.
All art consists largely of elements that can be called abstract elements of form, colour, line, tone, and texture. Abstract images are conceived or imagined outside of ‘reality’. My book ‘Surreal’ is based on such abstract arts which you can create or see from the things which are around you, which may seem simple but surely are noteworthy. The book shows you different aspects of the world from products to nature and even food you eat, which makes you question or observe the things differently then & now.
You might be thinking that what is so great about showcasing such things in an Abstract way than normal ? But making and creating such elements which are basic and always surrounded by you and then tuning them with abstract art to present them in an unreal way is a challenge. Because we have to keep the elegance of the product and at the same time show some surreal experiments from my perspective, which I think would be interesting for you to see, observe and interpret. Because every art is open to interpretations of your own thoughts and ideas.
My name is Heer Mahant from Mumbai. I always wanted to be as free as a bird. ’As free as a bird because birds guided me to become a photographer, to pursue photography as my profession. Capturing and connecting with nature and earth takes me to a whole new world of possibilities with no barriers.
I’ve always been very keen to give something and educate the society from my imagination and putting it in my story of wildlife. The chirping of the birds, the roars of the lions and all the other sounds animals make is the kind of music I want to listen in my whole life.
I, through my pictures, want to expose and motivate to the people the kingdom of animals which is less known to them.
