This four storeyed Mishkal Mosque has a history of over 650 years, located at Kuttichira in Kozhikode district.
Nakhooda Mishkal, an Arab trader, built and named the structure after himself. The Portuguese attacked it in 1510, damaging its original five-storey design.

Later, Zamorin, the hereditary ruler of the Calicut kingdom, supervised the renovation and refurbishment of the shattered mosque, though the charred portions still remain.
