We’re excited to announce the return of Sony BBC Earth’s flagship photography contest, Earth In Focus, in honor of World Photography Day 2025. This nationwide celebration of visual storytelling invites passionate photographers from across India to capture the planet’s most vivid moments.
Theme for 2025: Shades of Life
A tribute to the colours, emotions, and energy that breathe life into our planet — from glowing dawns to the vibrant pulse of culture and nature.
Sub-Categories
1. Glow of Earth – Golden hour moments and soulful light
2. Colors of Culture – Festivals, streets, and vibrant human stories
3. Vibrant Wild – Nature at its boldest and most breathtaking
Meet the Judge
Entries will be reviewed by Sudhir Shivaram, one of India’s most respected and award-winning wildlife photographers.
- Open to Indian residents aged 18 and above
- Photographs clicked outside India are eligible
- One entry per category allowed (maximum of three entries per participant)
- Detailed guidelines, submission process, and timeline will be shared soon
