It captures not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but also the ability to make the shots aesthetically pleasing to the viewer’s eye.
Architectural photography is a sub-genre of photography. The goal of architectural photography is to capture images and buildings that look like the beauty of paintings carved in stone. This discipline emphasizes capturing aesthetically pleasing and accurate photographs of buildings and other architectural structures. It captures not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but also the ability to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer’s eye. According to Frank Gehry “Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.”
A Visual Exploration of Vernacular Architecture
Architecture is a broad and varied field. It essentially describes how architects design and construct structures, including the style in which each building is created. Styles vary greatly from nation to nation and even from town to town. “Vernacular architecture” refers to a very local building that is significantly motivated by local conditions and customs, and this is the type of built environment that inspires me the most in my architectural photography.
