In Akalakunnam, Kottayam, a short film titled “Changampuzhayoormmayil Oru Kshayantyakurippu” was created to raise awareness about tuberculosis. I had the opportunity to work on this project as the Assistant Director of Photography (DOP). The entire shoot was successfully completed in a single day.

The 7-minute film begins with a tribute to poet Changampuzha, who died of TB, and follows a village outbreak with 12 reported cases. It focuses on tracing the source and spreading awareness. Health Inspector Praveen Navarang handled the story, direction, and lyrics, with support from the center’s staff and Mattakkara Creative Hut.

The film will be screened on March 24, World Tuberculosis Day, at the District Panchayat Hall. Akalakunnam, now a TB-free panchayat, will also be recognized for its efforts.
