    Photography's foundation rests on several core ideas. Examples of these are the exposure triangle, shutter speed, ISO, focus, white balance, and more.

    In a nutshell, the course material is structured to help students become proficient with cameras, lighting languages, and the art of travel photography. In addition, they gain proficiency in the English language while studying Video Journalism, Digital Picture Editing, Digital Marketing, and Communication Skills.

    The best techniques for using a camera and other gear are taught to the students. Students learn how to make the most of their DSLR and mirrorless cameras by adjusting the settings to suit a variety of shooting scenarios. They not only master using the digital camera beyond the auto mode, but also apply the appropriate settings in a variety of contexts. Taking images outside of the classroom is a great way to get creative with your schoolwork. Without a doubt, it inspires students to prepare their best portfolio.

    UNIT - I

    First unit introduces you to the photography industry and camera technology. Knowing about the various scope in this field, here students are introduced to photography fundamentals from scratch.

    UNIT - II

    It is not only about knowing the aperture, shutter speed, or ISO. This unit helps you in understanding different technicalities of camera that are required in practical photography.

    UNIT - III
    Color Science & Color Management

    Color is one of the most essential components of a photograph's composition. It has an effect on the composition and the aesthetic appeal to the attention and the feelings of the spectator.

    Visual Language
    and Aesthetics

    A photograph's visual language allows it to tell a story. There are situations in which the presence of a single image or a series of images is crucial to the explanation of events.

    In the field of architectural photography, an awareness of visual language is essential. There are specific guidelines for taking photographs in Architectural photography and Interior photography that are taught in the course.

    Aesthetics, in photography, are the qualities that grab the viewer's attention right away. Colors, lighting, composition, lines, subject matter, and the viewer's emotional response are all potential factors.

    UNIT - I

    Visual communication conveys concepts without words. Visible language aids image perception. This unit explains about the Visual languages applied to any visual mass communication.

    UNIT - II

    Learn here how to add depth and form to architecture photos. Add foregrounds, midgrounds, backgrounds, and composition components to make perfect perspective in the image.

    UNIT - III
    Photo Journalism

    This unit covers, understanding of capturing the images, editing it and presenting it in a proper documentation format. Learn to create better portfolio based on major forms of photojournalism.

    The foundation of Lighting Language

    It is possible to give a shot a variety of distinct looks and feelings by playing about with the direction the light that coming from and how soft it is.

    This lighting unit helps students understand how light works and what makes it shine. Architecture photography uses natural light, while interior photography uses the amount of artificial light. It's important to know about both natural and artificial light. On a more positive note, each of us needs to know how the light in our images was captured or recorded.

    So, here, students learn about the nature and properties of light, including natural light, different kinds of artificial light, and the way light moves. They also learn how the camera sees light, how to deal with low light and difficult situations, and a lot more.

    The Physics and Aesthetics of Light

    Lighting in photography is both a science and an art. The proper lighting makes things appear better than they actually are, but poor lighting makes them appear worse.

    The Language
    of Light

    Light has a profound impact on the way things appear, sound, and feel. Here, students learn what impact light has on every single image and how it can be modified.

    UNIT - III
    With Strobes

    While working indoors, you must rely on artificial light rather than natural light, which is why strobe lighting is so beneficial. Learn here to take control of the strobe light and flash when working indoors.

    Architecture and Interior

    Spending a lot of money on high-end videography gear is not required in order to make a polished and professional architectural and interior Videos. Learn and practice the art and techniques of cinematography.

    Video journalism helps students here to understand the method of capturing and framing the architectures and structures within the concepts and design elements. Best architecture and interior videographs are the result of maximum practice and this session is all about that.

    Finally, explore the different structures of DSLR and Mirror-Less videography, audio, video editing. Editing isn't just learning software; it's about understanding narrative structure, performing, and storyboarding.

    MES/ Q 0901 : Director of Photography (NSQF Level 6)

    Individuals at this job need to determine the visual style of the production. They finalize locations and equipment that will be used. During shoots, they guide efforts of the camera crew and collaborate with lighting and grips to capture the desired look for the end-product.

    MES/ Q 0903 Assistant Cameraman (NSQF Level 4)

    Individuals at this job are responsible to mark focus lengths based on the required composition and focus and refocus the camera lenses during shoots. They are also responsible to set-up/dismantle camera equipment.

    How to build Architecture and Interior Photography Portfolio?

    Architecture and Interior photography portfolios requires passion and skill to cover the most unique as well as striking images of the structures and interiors.

    Portfolios demonstrate the student's technical and aesthetic abilities by showing images that tell tales. Students gain practical understanding throughout the practical sessions. Students create an original portfolio on architecture and interior photography during their one-year photography diploma programme.

    The Mastering the Art of Architectural Photography course begins with a foundation, major forms, styles, techniques, practise, and ethical issues of photography. Second, the course examines thematic and narrative visual constructs. Hence, students here learn various trip photography techniques.

    People often say that a picture can say more than a thousand words. Your job as a photographer is to show what those words mean through your pictures. We photograph architecture and interiors to capture their liveliness. Our camera is our pen. Truly excellent photographers don't simply make you want to visit a place, they make you feel like you're already there.

    Architecture Photography

    This is where you learn the art and craft of architecture photography. Its not only about capturing the structures but bringing in the advertising commercial aspect of photography.

    Improve your digital photography talents by expanding your technical and artistic knowledge in capturing the stunning indoor architecture photographs

    UNIT - III
    Documentary and Black and White Photography

    Learn here the mythical black-and-white photography. Black-and-white photography captures spirits as well as bodies. Students learn to catch souls.

    PY 1716 : ADVERTISING PHOTOGRAPHY (If You are opting KGTE In Photography also)

    Students here have to decide how the production will look. They decide on the places and tools that will be used. During shoots, they lead the camera crew and work with lighting and grips to get the look that they want for the final product.

    PY 1717 : ENGLISH AND WORKPLACE SKILLS (If You are opting KGTE In Photography also)

    PY1718 INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP (If You are opting KGTE In Photography also)

    The student should undertake an industrial internship at any photographic studio /media organisation/ film Industry or related industrial establishment/professionals etc.

    Photography Study Tours

Our photography tour lets our students see more places and take pictures of different buildings and structures. Study trips are designed to be informative as well as experiential, with the goal of taking students to some of the most beautiful places in the world.     Videography Study Tours

    Similarly, this course demands students to capture architecture and interior videography too. In fact, they learn how to use photojournalism and video journalism in the best way possible to show what is going on. The students' favourite class is this one, and they can't wait to get to it. The locations for the shoots need to be approved from the concerned faculty and need to get a preplanning for the project. Students have to pay for all tour costs during the course.

    Kind Note

    1. All National & International tour costs will be extra.

    This course offered by Creative Hut Institute of Photography and Film is a residential course only. We offer Architecture photography course in Kerala and our students come from all over India.

    Kind Note
    Students must take care of the infrastructures of the hostel and the institute such as plates, cups, iron box, washing machine, shelves, cot, table, chairs, fans, studio accessories, etc... and maintain it properly. If any repairs and maintenance of the same is required due to its damage or improper handling, then it will be borne by the students.


    Candidates will be pursuing this course with the study structure implemented by the institute, from time to time. Particularly, there are instructional classes including the theory classes, practical classes, fieldwork, and Portfolio of altogether 11 months duration ie. 216 to 240 days.

    Note : This total duration includes the sessions to cover the syllabus of PDTP,  KGTE & MESC.

    Architecture Photography Course after 10th

    Students with at least 12th class/graduation can join for the course. Students must be at least 18 years old.

    Architecture and Interior Photography courses after 12th

    10+2 pass (any stream- Science, Commerce or Arts) from a recognized board. Students who satisfy this criteria are eligible to pursue this course.

    Architecture Photography Courses after Graduation

    Candidates with either 12th or +2 or any diploma or any graduation or any post-graduation are eligible for the course.
