An expert-led workshop at Creative Hut covered fundamentals and practical skills in automobile photography.
Mr. Ahamed Shaheen S, an esteemed expert in automobile photography, gave detailed training on automotive photography and videography at Creative Hut Institute of Photography and Film on May 2, 2024. The workshop covered a wide range of topics related to automobile visual art, from fundamental concepts to real-world photography sessions.
A strong foundation in the fundamentals of automobile photography and videography was built at the start of the session. Mr. Ahamed Shaheen took great care to clarify the key methods. He made sure that the students understood the importance of developing a concept, choosing suitable frames, and using a variety of frames to improve storytelling. During the class, the important topic of lighting was also discussed We were shown how various lighting setups can have major effects on the output.
The practical portion of the workshop took up an important part of the time. During hands-on learning assignment, we students shot a car both indoors and outdoors. Through immediate use of the concepts we learned, this practical approach helped us understand the problems and solutions that occur in real life. Even with limited time, we learnt how to effectively film, edit, and present our work.
We focused on interior lighting concepts for our team project. With the help of imaginative lighting setups in our studio, we created a simple but powerful concept to draw attention to the vehicle’s features. We made sure our project was technically strong and visually appealing. For this, we applied our knowledge of different methods during the shoot.
We learned how to edit the footage to produce an organised and attractive car film during the editing process. It was also extremely beneficial. Our capacity to provide excellent vehicle photography and videography has greatly increased as a result of this thorough session. It has given us essential skills and information.
The class provided an in-depth study of the challenges of automobile visual arts, and overall it was an enjoyable one. We developed deep understanding and practical knowledge under Mr. Ahamed Shaheen S. This will surely help us in our future attempts in this subject.
